I personally had a positive experience with my team and got to meet with a lot of higher-ups and engineers from other teams.
FB really kills it with internship events.
- Hit or miss on the team you get placed on. Some interns found themselves working more than 50/60 hours a week and tried to avoid their manager.

Software Engineer
I chatted with the recruiter to see if I was a reasonable fit. I have a lot of experience in SV, so we decided to do a phone screen next. Since I'm local to FB HQ, they gave me the option of going onsite instead, which I did.
Sr. Software Engineer
Took 4 weeks. One screening call. One full-hour technical questions. One full-hour secondary technical questions. One full day on-site. Questions start generically, such as basics in computer science, then become harder as you progress.
Software Developer
I had a phone screen, and then a 45-minute technical phone interview. When they got back to me, they still weren't sure about proceeding. I waited a further few days and then found out that they are not going to proceed, but it was very close.
