Competent pay, friendly culture, etc.
Burnout, peer pressure, slow ladder, etc.
I had a phone screen with HR for a couple of engineering positions in California. The jobs themselves are quite interesting. However, the salary is too low, so I will not be moving forward for the job interview.
The interview process consisted of several rounds for me: * Call with recruiter * First assessment (2 coding questions in a 45-minute interview) * Full interview (2x 45-minute coding sessions, 2x 45-minute system design, 2x 45-minute behaviora
Recruiter call, followed by a standard one-hour online algorithm round. This would then be followed by a full-day, on-site marathon including algorithm, system design, and behavioral rounds.
