Manufacturing Engineer Interview Experience - Manassas, Virginia

Process

I received an email from HR asking to set up a time for an interview. About 1-2 weeks after the HR screening, I received an email to set up a Skype interview. I set up the Skype interview and was interviewed by the hiring manager. Roughly 1 week from that, they offered to fly me for an onsite interview. I was not made aware that they switched what position I was interviewing for from Industrial Engineer to Manufacturing Engineer. I was then interviewed by 2 panels of 5 people each. Each panel asked me technical questions specific to the Manufacturing Engineer position. After a brutal 2-hour-long interview, I received no response until 1 month later when I received an automated response from HR saying they are no longer considering me.

Questions

One panel showed me an empty graph with cycle time on the x-axis and WIP storage on the y-axis. They asked me to draw out the general shape of the graph.

As cycle time decreases, does WIP increase or decrease?
