Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

After an initial screening interview, I was invited for a full day of on-site interviews. It took place on a working day.

I was interviewed by five people, which I found to be too much for one hiring process.

The interviewers were very nice, though, and I had lunch with the local manager.

Most of the interviews consisted of standard engineering questions. The last interview, however, I personally disliked because it was not very technical, but rather an obscure task with no right or wrong answer.

Questions

Describe sorting algorithms you know.

Construct a linked list.

Last and obscure question: Imagine you have an island and the task to fit an airport with 4 runways on it. How would you start? (Not sure how this shows if I am a good engineer or not)
