The phone interview was a bit sloppy. The call was 15 minutes late and extended beyond the original time.
The second round interview is fairly organized, though you won't know what group you are interviewing for until right before the interviews.
Flying out to Redmond was nice, though.

Pros: Solid, stable company. Hey, in this economy, that's nothing to sneeze at. The impression that I have is that (in spite of the layoffs) that's still more or less the case.
As an intern, I found that the company policy was very open towards interns. I was surprised and impressed at the knowledge available to me and the trust placed in me.
Cons: I found that
Seriously, free food would go miles towards a more awesome work environment.
As an intern, I found that the full-time employees assigned to work with me were preoccupied with their real jobs to the exclusion of helping me out. However, this might have been a peculiarity of my group or situation, or possibly I should have reached out more myself, as I know other interns did not find this to be the case.

Manager is transparent in what she is thinking.
Microsoft is moving towards a better business model.
Cons: Big company problems: bureaucracy, slowness, inefficiency, and a lack of clear communication between groups.
There are too many layers between development and release (e.g., Dev, QA, Business).

Pros: Great compensation, fun activities, and fabulous intern gifts—you can tell that money was really thrown your way as an intern.
Cons: Office work can get tedious. Some interns were given projects that weren't utilized after they were gone.
