Pros: Microsoft really cares about their employees. Awesome compensation and bonuses. Additional perks like reimbursement for fitness expenses and a 50% 401K match.
Cons: Annual layoffs are not performance-based. I've seen many people unexpectedly lose their jobs due to a reduction in the workforce. Job security is very low.

Pros: Great hours, awesome managers. Overall a good learning experience, especially if you keep pestering them to work on new things.
Cons: Very repetitive work. I wanted to bash my head against the wall at times out of boredom.

Pros: Great benefits, family-oriented, decent work-life balance. This is a great company with tremendous resources, doing amazing work in the technology industry. Lots of really smart people here.
Cons: Too much bureaucracy.
The company has made some missteps, investing too early or before the market was ready, and then stopping investment or not going "all-in" when they should have. Mobile is a great example of this.
