Process

I had two phone interviews and one Skype technical interview.

The first was with a Human Resources representative from Seattle to check my background and ask some questions about my resume.

The second phone interview was with the same HR representative to ask if I wanted to continue for the second part and to discuss my salary expectations.

The last interview was with a Lead Software Engineer, who asked me some technical questions.

Questions

Can you describe how polymorphism works?

Using a shared online notepad, he asked me to give an example of:

Polymorphism
LINQ query
Creating a new class
Etc.

Pros: Respectful environment. Projects with a large, worldwide impact. Great compensation. Intelligent and diversified coworkers.

Cons: Large teams meant you were a cog in the machine. It also meant not using your full range of talents. You easily became a super specialist of a very specific area. You can't have the same impact on the product vision as with a smaller company.
