Pros: Great pay, benefits, workplace, and swag, etc. Microsoft had a lot of events that summer, and we got an Xbox as a gift.
Cons: Hit or miss with team placement. If you end up on a cool team (with great people), you'll have a blast. But I've had friends who've been on teams that weren't very exciting or who had difficulties working with senior members on the team.

Pros: Microsoft is a great place for career growth and learning. It has been the perfect place to be for an internship. They offer a very flexible work environment and great benefits as well.
Cons: Culture will be very team and manager specific.
It should be noted that there are good and bad teams and managers at Microsoft.
