It was a pretty smooth process.
I got referred in August for the new grad position and had an on-campus interview with one LeetCode medium and one LeetCode hard in September. I was invited for on-site interviews with a specific team in November. Microsoft takes amazing care of candidates, reimbursing every expense and placing you in a Hyatt in Bellevue.
The first interview was with the hiring manager, which was totally behavioral. The second was Object-Oriented Design (OOD) with coding logic. Next was a LeetCode easy problem with an optimization that became tough, but the interviewer was kind enough to nudge me in that direction. Following that was a system design interview.
Overall, it was a great experience. The interviewers were friendly and seemed to really love their work.
LeetCode: Easy-Hard, OOD, System Design.
