Cons: - Lots of ego. - Bureaucracy and red tape. - Reorgs happen basically twice per year. Don't bother getting to know your skip manager. Also, try not to let your team put too much effort into skip priorities, and definitely don't get suckered onto the tasks yourself – no one will care at review time. - Very Indian-male centric (somewhat racist, sexist, and very classist attitudes are pervasive, mostly in the younger generations). - Stack ranks even though they pretend not to. Pick your projects with care and fight low-visibility ones.

Cons: Because the work is too chill, it often gets difficult to feel motivated. As such, it becomes difficult to get promoted. I've been on the same team for two years and still haven't been promoted, while my manager says I'm always doing work that exceeds expectations.
