Pros

We accrued a diverse team from new hires to experienced hardware developers. The fast-paced design and problem-solving made it never a dull moment. Resources were abundant. Most design, verification, prototyping, and reliability was performed in-house.

Cons

The throttle was never eased as my team successfully launched tablets and laptops. Burnout occurred for many. Attrition was high. All of this while still operating with little processes and procedures, like a typical mature engineering development company would follow. Work conditions were difficult for most to be claimed as productive. Crowded, noisy environments. Growing pains that lasted too long.

Advice to Management

Long-term thinking, please.
