And if you can move across teams, then the amount of work diversity that you have here is just great.
You need your manager's favor to grow, and managers suck big time. Most of the time, working under a good manager for a bad company is better than working under a bad manager for a good company.
The sheer number of intelligent people surrounding you can be intimidating. Even if you were the most clever in your previous group, you might just be another insignificant team member once you are here.
Hierarchy sucks. You need to make people movement easier.
