Pros: The document database technology is genuinely good. Management seems to have a decent long-term vision overall. The hiring process is long and painstaking enough to the point that I trust that the people around me are well-qualified. Once hired, there's a lengthy training process to get you up to speed on the company's offerings. After that, there is plenty of continuing training to keep your skills fresh.
Cons: Marketing and market messaging can be a bit "all over the place." There are a lot of products, those products are constantly changing and improving, and so messaging also changes a lot. The sales process can be prescriptive and paperwork-heavy.

Pros: Great enablement organization, great support from each member, great networking to reach anyone, and complete and full documentation for everything.
Cons: So much information can sometimes be overwhelming.

Pros: I've been in IT for 3 decades and have done everything from developer, business owner, director, consultant, and solutions engineer/architect. I've seen many organizations operate, but I have never seen an organization operating with such efficiency and structure. Everyone is responsible and owns what they do. There are no excuses and delays like I've seen from other organizations. It's almost an ideal company to work for. I feel blessed to be working for MongoDB along with highly technical and intelligent people.
Cons: Plenty of work, but that is not even a negative in my book. I'm just letting people know that there is plenty of work, and this is not a place to do 9 to 5. :-)
