The company does not pay as competitively as other companies (at least in the beginning). It's not bad, but it could be better.
Consider allocation of budget evenly across departments. Some teams seem to get more budget for their team activities, while others are sometimes hindered to do so because of a lack in budget. There seems to be an offset across different teams.
On the bright side, I feel strongly that our company hits the more important parts of making work worthwhile. I like the work we do, I like the people, and I feel like I'm still learning a lot in an environment with so many bright engineers.
The interview consisted of a coding interview, a system design interview, and a number of hiring manager/VP interviews, all completed over a period of a couple of days. The coding interview was in person and required writing a JSON parser.
The recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. The interview process consisted of the following rounds: * Recruiter Screen * HM Interview * Onsite: Technical, Cultural Fit I was rejected in the second round.
Slow moving, didn't seem to have regard for my time (showed up late, clearly weren't prepared with my resume in front of them, etc.). Overall felt a lack of care for the process, which was a red flag.
