Morgan Stanley Work Experiences
- 1.0Worst place to work atJava Software Developer • Former EmployeeLondon, England, United KingdomJune 22, 2021Pros: Nothing here. Manager is the most incompetent person I have met.Cons: Outdated tech, poor projects, poor work-life balance.
- 4.0Great Culture, Limited AdvancementJava Software Developer • Current EmployeeLondon, England, United KingdomSeptember 15, 2021Pros: Amazing culture. Very knowledgeable people. Good working hours. Flat hierarchy. Amazing benefits. Gym, dry cleaning, canteen, hairdresser, FREE GP!! and more in the office you work at! No one shouts or curses at each other (nothing like the movies).Cons: They don't promote developers unless you go into management. They are actively working on it, but they have been for two to three years now. As most firms do, they have started focusing hires in non-metro areas.
- 3.0Good Pay, Boring Legacy CodeJava Software Developer • Current EmployeeMay 25, 2023Pros: Good salary, good benefits, some training access.Cons: Not very inclusive, especially for women. It uses too much legacy code, making the job boring. It needs architects. Working remotely is part of the culture now. They need to embrace that and have tools that help with it.
