MS may be a good bank, but it is a bad software company
The pay and bonuses (if you got one) were good. I loved working with the people. The business outlook for the product was good.
The big bank processes are getting in the way of working effectively on the software product. Old-school management thinking. Typical big-company culture. Horrible tooling for software development.
Run the software teams using a software mindset and a software management style.
