The hiring manager was friendly.

Questions were too specific, requiring deep knowledge of RAID and OS kernels, as well as threading and deadlocks.

Questions

Tell me about RAID. Read everything possible on Wikipedia for RAID and striping. The interviewer was quite sentimental and sensitive on this topic. :-p So, read it well.

Explain deadlocks with a scenario. Also, read basic OOPs concepts like polymorphism, etc.

Pros: Because NetApp puts great emphasis on its "Great Place to Work" status, it offers some interesting but little-used perks: an in-house gym, 40 hours of paid volunteer time, etc.

Cons: Big company problems include ineffective IT and confusing HR policies, such as a forced unpaid company closure during the Christmas-New Year's break.

Cons: Getting quite political in a lot of groups. Work culture has changed a lot since I joined.

Pros: There are a lot of tasks on hand, and you can potentially work on a number of things. If it will all be accounted for is a different question.

Cons: Getting quite political in a lot of groups. Work culture has changed a lot since I joined.
