Cons: Below-Market Compensation: The overall salary structure is low compared to industry standards. Misaligned Leadership: Some managers and directors lack technical expertise, prioritising quick delivery over long-term company goals. Micro-management: A segment of leadership practices excessive oversight, hindering employee autonomy.

Pros: Work-life balance is good. Pay is very competitive. WFH. No one cares.

Cons: New Relic has never had good leadership, but things are the worst they have ever been. There has been yet another round of layoffs, and things are in constant chaos. I have reported to 4 different managers in 3 months. The term "company culture" has not been used in nearly a year, and budgets are being slashed everywhere. Leadership does not understand the product or the market, is openly dishonest, and refuses to even commit to goals. Despite surviving the layoffs, my team doesn't even have anything to work on, and management doesn't notice or care. As stated in a recent town hall, their goal is to move 70% of the work to India. The director literally asked if anyone can step up and be a hero. We're doing nothing to develop a competitive advantage. The company's only reason for existence at this point is to get acquired.

Pros: No pros, this place sucks except for the coworkers, and we all bonded over how bad the management was.

Cons: Poor management and company organization; difficult to work with, make promises with customers but never talk with engineering, and then force us to work overtime to meet promises. After deployment, the project is suddenly dead in the water and rolled back, showing highly incompetent senior management.
