Had a first meeting with HR, very standard, nothing to comment there.
Then moved to a very standard meeting with a hiring manager, basically asking for my background as an engineer. Wasn't too bad; the only thing was the repeated yawning.
Then got assigned a really long take-home test, which on top of that, you only have 7 days to complete. Delivered it after 6 days and roughly 14 hours of coding. Made sure the code was easy to read and tests were very concise, clear, and descriptive. None of the testing parts were considered.
They rejected my tests after saying that it was not able to shut down (it does; I just didn't implement a CTRL+C shutdown because, you know, I have a life and other interviews. Still, if you check the tests, the app does shut down), and that with large requests (10M numbers) it didn't work, when the only requirement was to have high throughput and my code handled almost double what was asked (2M). Also said a file wasn't written, but I have not been able to replicate that error on my machine, so it's strange.
Thought this would be useful for anyone out there.
