This was one of the smoothest interview processes I’ve had in the software space. The recruiting team was very responsive and made multiple efforts to reschedule interviews and provide feedback every step of the way.
Something that stood out to me was that they did not play any games. Right from the start, they told me with total transparency what the offer would be: equity, benefits, etc., and when the offer was made, it was exactly what was discussed. No low-balling, no back and forth. Refreshing.
The process took around 4 weeks (one skipped week with a few team members and myself gone on PTO for spring break).
It consisted of (all remote via Zoom):
Behavioral questions like “what project are you most proud of?”, “talk about a difficult situation with another engineer,” and “tell me about a time you had to say no.”
Take-home challenge was building a NodeJS streaming data text parser from scratch that counts phrase frequencies in novels.
Designing batch calls for automated systems.
Handling batches of async callback-style functions.
Behavioral questions about experience interfacing with customers, taking feedback, and applying it.
