Software Test Engineer Interview Experience - Kraków, Lesser Poland Voivodeship

March 1, 2014
Positive ExperienceNo Offer

Process

  1. Phone conversation with engineer, basic questions on cellular systems (40 min).
  2. 1 hour with manager + 1.5 hours technical panel.

Nokia engineers have wide knowledge about cellular systems and they ask everything in detail. This was the first interview in my life, but I think my knowledge is sufficient for the position.

During the 1-hour conversation, the manager asked me about my previous projects and how I removed obstacles. I think he focused on my teamwork skills.

Questions

LTE architecture, QAM 16 vs QAM 64, QPSK, testing, Linux (sed, grep, awk, iperf, etc.), IPv4 vs. IPv6, IPv4 addressing, TCP vs. UDP, OSI/ISO, basic programming (OOP).
