Process

The interview process was professional and thorough.

I had applied for a position almost 1.5 years ago. They found my CV from their database and reached out to me.

We had one screening call with HR, followed by an in-office interview with SRE team members. This led to two other technical phone interviews with escalation engineers.

All the interviewers were friendly and made me feel comfortable. After all that, the offer was presented.

Questions

Technical questions on Linux, Networking, VMware, and Storage.

Knowledge of general concepts and a troubleshooting perspective would help a lot.

Training provided was quite varied and extensive, ranging from their own and third-party products to general things such as Linux and conceptual networking. Manager was quite involved, easy to work with, and approachable. Hands-on experience with a ticketing system and follow-the-sun support system.

Cons: The program is mostly self-learning, however, this is to be expected given you have many product offerings and are quite complex. It could use more practical involvement as first-level support and a more structured internship program.
