Hires from good universities, and most new hires are great.
Server Technologies is a great place where your work will impact many in the world.

Cons: Managers, for their job security, do not let employees grow after a certain stage.
I have seen some worse managers who employ divisive strategies to remain at the helm.
Technical people manage some groups, and that leads to a conflict of interest.
Information flows in only one direction (upwards).

Pros: Flexibility, occasional work from home, and health care benefits.
Cons: If you want to join this company, look for the following:
* You should be a hyped product like Cloud, Mobile, etc. It doesn't matter if the product is making money; the employee doesn't. e.g., EBS, App Server, EM.
* Negotiate your salary as much as possible before you join. You may not see salary increments in the distant future.
* Inquire about the manager you are going to report to.
