Product Engineer Interview Experience - Roorkee, India
Process
There is a basic test to sort candidates out at the start.
If you are comfortable with C++ and know a bit about trees and similar data structures, this test should be a cakewalk.
The technical interview was one of the easiest I've had at an IT firm. They asked nothing beyond topics covered in 12th standard and a couple of puzzles (which the interviewer said were optional if I couldn't answer).
Though the technical interviewer was chill and in a joking mood.
The HR interview is very general. Just focus on why you are interested in OFSS and why you are not pursuing an MBA.

- 2.0Only for people ready for retirementProduct Engineer • Former EmployeeSanta Clara, California, United StatesMarch 25, 2024Pros: People are nice to work with.Cons: Management is horrible because they do not listen to your advice. They only put you on the spot for failures that you told them about ahead of time, but they do not want to allocate resources to let you do your job.
- 4.0Great Colleagues, Caring ManagersProduct Engineer • Former EmployeeGuangzhou, Guangdong, ChinaSeptember 12, 2018Pros: Colleagues are good, and managers are also caring.Cons: The salary is not very high.
- 3.0A good boss means everythingProduct Engineer • Former EmployeeSanta Clara, California, United StatesFebruary 24, 2021Pros: My hiring manager was awesome. Countless unique opportunities were given to me to learn and succeed. Unfortunately, he left and I got put under a horrible manager.Cons: This horrible manager could not understand, or tried not to understand, the process flow of other products besides his own. When there's no issue, there's no problem. Whenever an issue arises, this manager would separate you from the crowd and drill you in front of upper-level management. As a manager, nothing was "managed".
