The interviewer started by asking about my current project, the reason for my job change, and why I was interested in Oracle. After I answered these questions, he began asking about core Java concepts, including:
- Significance of the volatile keyword.
- Difference between Comparator and Comparable.
- Difference between StringBuffer and StringBuilder, and why Java started using StringBuilder from JDK 1.5 instead of StringBuffer.
- Significance of static variables.
- Significance of final classes and final variables.
- Significance of the synchronized keyword.
