After a few days from the initial application, I was contacted by an HR person. We discussed me, my interests, and prior experience, and great interest was shown. I was then promised a contact for the next step of interviews within a week. This contact never came.
I initially thought that the position was filled or that things simply hadn't progressed. So, I contacted the HR person to check for any updates and found that they were experiencing management issues. During our first contact, I received apologies for the delays and a promise to be updated soon. Again, I had to contact them to receive the same promise.
Even two months after the initial interview, when it was clear that this was leading nowhere, I sent an email out of curiosity. I discovered that they were not hiring at all and planned to hire in the coming months.
I expected a more serious interview procedure from such a company.
