I received a call from Oracle. They sent me a link via email to apply for an opening.
There are five rounds of interviews:
- Three are one-on-one.
- One is by a panel.
- One is with HR for salary negotiations.
Questions
Interview for Oracle/Tekelec DRA product:
- How to detect a loop in a DIAMETER Request.
- What is the use of multiple Host AVPs in a CER request.
- Explain the use of the Origin State ID AVP.
- Questions on the DIAMETER Header.
- Questions on the AVP Header.
C++ Questions:
- Copy Constructor.
- Template Question.
- STL question on Vector/List/Map.
Design Patterns.

Ability to participate on projects end to end.
There is not so much enforcement from leaders in terms of how to do things and reach the goal.
Cons: Sometimes politics comes into play, and the most rational solution from an engineering point of view may not be the chosen one.

Pros: Talented/knowledgeable engineers, good start for college grads, decent benefits, work/life balance.
Cons: Salary is below market with no hikes/increments (for years).
In some groups, promotions are given with no salary increment.
Only a few groups know what bonus is. The majority of employees (engineers, not management) only know how to spell bonus but have not really received one for years, though the company makes a net profit in billions.
