Great product, smart engineers, but lots of politics in engineering

Pros: Most engineers are smart and great. They are willing to work on exciting things without thinking about promotion. The product is fun to work on.
Cons: Too much politics in the engineering part. A small amount of engineers (some managers as well) are not putting people first. Instead of contributing code, they are playing politics and delivering a very negative culture here. Engineers who want to work on impactful things find it very hard to get a chance if projects are against the interests of these people.
