QA Analyst Interview Experience - Mountain View, California

April 1, 2019
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The interview process included:

  • A one-hour phone interview to go over your background.
  • A technical round.

After qualifying, there were three one-hour onsite interviews:

  1. The first involved a chronological review of my resume, with questions about my responsibilities in each role.
  2. The second was a technical interview with an interviewer who appeared to be having a bad day. They asked server-side questions and requested I write code related to file comparison.
  3. The third was with an interviewer who seemed happy but asked questions entirely irrelevant to my experience. They began by counting on their fingers, stating, "Okay, so you don't have experience with virtualization, server-side management..."

I hoped they would review my resume or allow me to explain my knowledge rather than focus on what I lack. They later asked Unix questions.

Questions

  1. Compare an array of files. If their content is the same, return the content for all files.
