Good benefits, good compensation (at least at higher titles), flexible hours, and a casual workplace.
I have lost faith in leadership at the VP-level and above. There is very little to no coordination of strategy, and VPs simply do not understand modern software development practices. Additionally, the company no longer cares about its employees. The focus is on cost-cutting, moving jobs overseas, and treating people like cattle. Employees used to be valued and given the tools and resources to build their careers.
We really need some cross-functional leadership that truly understands software development.
