Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Bengaluru, India

Process

I applied through LinkedIn and received a call from HR after two weeks. The first round was scheduled with the Software Architect and was a problem-solving round.

He asked two coding questions: one easy level and a second medium difficulty level, plus one database question. I answered them and sent my answers to him via HR email.

I'm writing this because the interviewer's slow internet connection made it difficult to hear the questions. Somehow, I went through the interview by asking the same thing again and again, and managed to answer the questions. However, I received a rejection email a few days later.

I felt bad about this. HR should ask the interviewer about their internet connection and speed.

Questions

Given two arrays of integers, [1,2,3,3,5] and [3,5], find the intersection between both arrays and return those integers. In this case, the output will be [1,2].

Implement a stack which will have two methods: getMax() and max(). getMax() will return the maximum value from the stack, whereas max() will return the maximum value from the stack as well as pop the maximum value from the stack.
