For those who can't sit still and need a new challenge every day, Rivian is for you. Good managers will promote taking vacation and time off; whether or not you take it is entirely up to you. The work is tough, but the pay is unmatched, especially in the area.
The workload is immense, often times leading you to not take vacation. This is due to having to prep 1-2 weeks before vacation, take calls and answer DMs during vacation, and have 1-2 weeks of catch-up after coming back from vacation. It makes taking time off very difficult and undesirable.
Since every team is understaffed, reduce your team's scope and fight for them when they're asked to take on additional scope.
Compensation needs to be fixed as well. The base pay is great, but the lack of cash bonuses for top performers is a good way to lose talent.
I would much rather receive a cash bonus worth 20% of the stock I would have gotten. Management is the only ones who can fight for this change.
