I was reached out to by a recruiter on LinkedIn and had an initial call. I was interested, and the first of two steps was a technical assessment. This was given via Filtered, which basically gave me a VS Code in my browser while also installing a spyware add-on to "allow the team to see how I solved the problem." The assessment itself was horrible. The instructions given were remarkably vague, and no samples were given to test the code, even though they had test cases they used to score my submission. The feedback I got after I was told my assessment was not enough for the team was summed up as "took too long and code was not simple enough," which made me question what level of engineer reviewed the assessment. I highly recommend staying away from this company, given the lack of instructions, lying on questions about the assessment, and very poor feedback on what about my assessment was not satisfactory.
