Process

My interview process was fortunately a bit shorter, as I had previous feedback from the same role from an interview not much longer before. The process involved a phone screen and then an on-site, as expected.

Everything was great. The recruiter was extremely transparent and made everything easy for me. The phone screen was with the hiring manager, and that went well, as he was very easy to talk to and ultimately wanted to gauge my high-level domain knowledge.

The on-site was great.

The first panel focused on my programming skills as well as system design on a program scale. The second panel was a bit more challenging due to the system design. I have experience with a lot of system designing, but this one definitely drilled in-depth about each layer: the schemas of the persistence layer, the networking, the security, everything. The last panel was with the VP of the organization, and he was extremely transparent and welcoming.

All in all, everything went very well, and I heard back within a day. Out of my other choices, I think Salesforce sold me on the culture, and I actually got that, not from reading about it online, but from my first-hand experience with the team during the interview.
