Process

I had three rounds of technical interviews with a gap of around two weeks between each. I felt I performed well in every round.

After that, they gave me one topic for a presentation round. They provided the topic at 7 PM on Monday and expected me to prepare it in depth and deliver a presentation by 4 PM the next day. I explained that this was difficult for me since I am already working and I requested they provide the topic on Saturday or Sunday at the latest.

I hardly got two hours to prepare and create a presentation, which I did my best on. They were obviously not satisfied with that, and the Hiring Manager wanted another technical round. I stated that three technical rounds had already been completed and I was not interested in another. Still, they insisted.

I gave the fourth technical round (fifth round overall). I received positive feedback, yet I was rejected for some unknown reason.

I asked the recruiter what the point of conducting a fifth round was when they intended to reject me anyway. She offered a weak excuse, stating that after my final round, they found another, better candidate. At the end of the day, I was very dissatisfied.
