I applied for a position with Salesforce.org and had two past colleagues, now employed at Salesforce, provide me with references.

It took three weeks before I heard back. However, given that I was nearing the end of my interview process, the recruiter worked diligently to expedite the interviews once he reached out to me. All the interviews took place the following week, and I received the offer the Monday after.

The recruiter and all the team members I interviewed with were friendly and enjoyable to talk to. I really enjoyed the process and would have been happy to accept a position with them, all other things being equal. However, this was a consulting position, and I received another offer that was non-consulting.

That offer:

• Involved no travel
• Was local to me
• Offered better compensation
• Offered significantly more PTO

So, while I was conflicted, I chose to decline.

All interviews, aside from the recruiter's, were conducted via video calls, which I found to be helpful and appropriate.

I was given a thorough technical overview, particularly around integration.

After passing the technical screen, I was given a case study involving an integration scenario. I had a day or so to prepare a slide presentation for a panel review.

I presented over video call to the panel and was asked questions about my recommendations.

It was a challenging but enjoyable process.
