Everything that you need to do your job is provided to you (mostly without questions). While they are definitely not paymasters, they also are not at the bottom. Colleagues are helpful, and most of them are ready to share their knowledge and experience. The professional services at Salesforce are probably better equipped than any other implementation partner to provide value and innovation to clients.
Leadership in professional services comes mainly from tier-2 consulting services (acquisitions, lateral hires) companies, and they are trying to bring the worst of that culture to Salesforce. If this continues, Salesforce professional services will just be another premium body shop. They are mostly managers (not leaders) and know how to achieve their targets in ST, with very little concern for the long-term impact of culture in the organization.
Ensure the objectives for leadership align with long-term objectives. Ensure the leadership truly embraces Salesforce ohana culture and does not try to bring the worst from outside.
