SanDisk is a great product-based company with a good office culture. It is busy 24x7 with lots of work to do and 100% production support.
Compensation is low as per the standard and cost of living in the Bay Area. Except for being loaded with tons of work, I don't see any personal growth for experienced engineers.
Engineers with greater than 15 years of experience are utilized like junior developers instead of them being architects and leaders.
Invited onsite for two Technical rounds and one Managerial round. Some questions on data structures and some domain-specific (storage). After that, two more technical rounds from the US team and one Managerial round. Ended with one HR round in Ind
Data structures, programming problems, design problems, and coding. There were around 5-6 rounds of interview. The process was good, with help and support from the interviewer. The overall process took about a month. I was happy with the process.
Test with 4 sections: Aptitude, electronics, programming with 2 code, and some more questions related to electronics. Aptitude was normal, but if you are a software engineer, it's tough to crack the other sections.
