Filled out a detailed questionnaire related to my experience, providing examples of coding background and technical leadership at FAANG companies.
Was then asked to do a phone screen without ever talking to a recruiter.
Asked the recruiter for salary and team details before wasting anyone's time on interviewing; they said it is "impossible to know the salary."
I am not going to waste my time on some problem that has zero real-world application without knowing what Shopify would approximately pay. This interview process is one of the strangest I have seen in the entire tech industry.
