Pros
  • Great office space.
  • Close to where I live.
  • Free coffee (though no decaf).
  • Flexibility to develop as you wish.
  • Free parking under a garage.
  • Near a pretty good town.
  • Minimal office politics.
Cons
  • Management only cares about keeping the number of defects down and the number of hours down, with little to no nuance beyond that.
  • They add in wild safety policies that are much too easy to exploit.
  • Very little investment in effective training or learning activities. They only provide $5,000 a year for education, and you can't do full-time education.
  • Despite statements to the contrary, they do not value work-life balance and frequently expect you to work late, giving no leniency.
  • Higher-ups are constantly breathing down your neck.
  • They make us go into the office, yet people have been getting COVID while in the office.
Advice to Management

Stop constantly criticizing people as behind and teach them what to do instead of putting all the learning onus on them.

Set up classes and pay for them. Allow workers to full-time pursue education.

Let us work remotely and stop making people sign in to come into the office. The mandate of wearing masks can be dodged completely if you don't make people go in.

Health comes before effective team collaboration.
