Process
Although I did not make it to the initial event, it was nice to see a prompt and kind response from the Slack team. They were informative as to what rules might be available for the future.
It’s really cool when you see a company put time into even telling someone no for now.

Great company!
Staff Software Engineer • Current Employee
New York, NY
August 11, 2025
Pros: Great benefits, a flexible work/life schedule, and opportunities to innovate. I work on a very collaborative team and have a great manager.
Cons: Priorities can change, so don't be married to any one idea or project. Slack is constantly testing things that never ship in the spirit of making sure what ends up in customer's hands is the right choice.
Leveling up is hard because their criteria is quite intense compared to other companies.
