I contacted one of their staff recruiters and interviewed that same week. They were looking for someone with experience on the systems side – infrastructure, server topologies, and custom development.

I was interviewed by two men, and the questions were highly technical in nature. They focused on how to consult a client through the various hardware and governance decisions they would need to make. You need to be well versed on cloud, Azure development, and performance troubleshooting.

Pros: Slalom used to be one of the best consulting companies that I have worked for. They used to care about the employees and help them grow and find the right role for them. They used to treat us with respect and kindness. They used to care about our feedback and try to improve the company. I loved working at this company.

Cons: After Covid, this company started going downhill. All they cared about was making money. All they wanted was to make up for the profit that they didn’t achieve. They started putting employees under pressure and created a toxic environment. We have unqualified and unprofessional leaders running the company. Some leaders have no experience in leadership, and they are bullying their employees and treating them with disrespect. Direct people leads tell the employees that they are not worth working there and that they should quit. They are always disrespecting us and trying to lower our self esteem and confidence. There is a lot of favouritism in this place. People with junior experience are getting promoted every year by taking other people's credit. Imagine your manager has the power to insult you and you can’t complain or do anything about it.
