Frontend Engineer Interview Experience - San Francisco, California

Process

The interview consisted of two phone rounds and a final five-hour on-site interview. Splunk didn't waste any time, and the entire process was completed in about two weeks. It was well-organized.

However, the worst part was their communication afterward. I was told I had the offer from HR, after which there was no communication for one week. After persistent calling, the HR said the position was put on hold.

I don't understand why Splunk would waste so much of my time and their time over two to three weeks, give me the offer, and then say there is no position. This is not very professional on their side, regarding how they treat interested applicants.
