Process

I applied through their official website. Then I had my first interview with HR with some normal questions about my background, why I'm interested in the company, etc. (30 min). After this interview, I was invited to a second interview (2h) with two engineers. This interview was separated into four different sections.

  1. General questions about computer science and algorithms.
  2. Some Android-specific questions.
  3. Live coding challenge where they asked me to share my screen and develop a simple Android app.
  4. Code review, where I was asked to review code and comment on it. The code they presented had many flaws, by the way. After this interview, I was invited to their office in Stockholm for three other interviews, one hour each.
  5. A system design interview where I had to design an Android app on a whiteboard and talk about architecture and other things specifically related to Android. The interview was challenging in a sense that the interviewers changed the problem a few times after I was done with it, and I had to address their new concerns as well.
  6. Code presentation interview where I was asked to present code that I was proud of and answer interviewers' questions about my code.
  7. Values interview, very similar to the first interview with some questions about my background, etc. I also had a lunch with a few engineers and had a talk with them for one hour. After a few days, I was invited to a feedback meeting with HR, and they gave me an offer, which I accepted.

One thing that I want to mention is that interview questions were deep and relevant to the role I applied for, and answering many of them required hands-on experience with the latest trends in Android development as well as computer science. HR feedbacks were always great, and they kept you in the loop.
