This was once a good company with a great culture and a truly excellent mission statement and goal. Still, staying fully remote is a nice pro in a world of RTO.
Awful leadership has taken over and poisoned this company. Liza and her crew have destroyed all culture within this company and have created an awful exec team hell-bent on clearly selling this company for profit for themselves. Just read the below review about certain individuals in the leadership team and you’ll get the idea of what it’s like working with them.
Your job is never safe. They’ve had 4 layoffs in 1 year. Over 30% of the company. Good people with families and even pregnant. I even saw them lay off a brand-new employee who was only 3 days in the job. That’s disgusting and I refuse to believe they had no way to know. Why hire them in the first place other than to mess up with their life?
Pay is average to under market rate. HR will lie and do anything to make it sound like they look at market averages, but this is a lie. Most ground-staff HR staff are lovely, but the leaders are toxic and dishonest. They changed the performance reviews as a means to not pay out bonuses to anyone that really wasn’t an exec or director. This performance review took 6 months to execute. It might be the most incompetent initiative that I’ve ever seen at a company and clearly these people have no idea what they are doing. Also, don’t expect a pay rise. 1% if you’re lucky. Maybe 2-3% if you get promoted.
Engineering culture is gone. Either cut costs or stop basically. Continue to ship a subpar product and don’t give a damn about your customer and their hard-earned money. It’s so anti the mission statement, and it upsets me as I joined the company fully backing the idea behind the product. I and others care about the customer and helping them to invest and save for their future, but leaders do not. The engineering VPs do nothing from what I saw and just take credit for work they did not contribute to or spoke to any ground staff about.
People are trying to leave in droves, as was evidenced by their recent pulse survey. Don’t expect to grow here, get fairly paid, or make any impact to the customer's life. Expect 0 job security, incompetent leaders, bro culture, and subpar pay and benefits.
Leave. Take your frat team with you. Once you make your profit that you are clearly setting up to do (all you want is profitability to make it an easier sell) get out so that there’s still potential for the company to return to its roots to help average Americans. Not rich C-suite execs like yourselves. Your employee engagement forms should tell you enough about the job you’ve done. Don’t be surprised that a lot of your staff are interviewing elsewhere. They don’t want to work for you.
Initial recruiter phone call. Was scheduled for 30 minutes, and a couple of hours before, I got an email saying he would be running 15 minutes late to the call, so my interview would be cut short by 15 minutes. He was only 5 minutes late, so all goo

After a phone interview, I was given a fairly difficult and time-consuming take-home test. After implementing an iOS app with the required features, I was brought onsite and had three interviews. These interviews included general iOS questions, archi
