A team member already decided to advance their career. Referred by an ETL, I applied online and scheduled a telephone interview.
First was the initial phone screening. Second, I had to complete an online test, which proved more difficult than I imagined. Lastly, was the phone interview. I was asked basic questions, similar to those posted by other members.
I do not care for phone interviews; I prefer 1:1. The phone connection was not always clear, and I had to repeat questions.
After the interview, I sent a thank-you note and later another note stating I was still interested in the position. I received no reply from the interviewer.
Later, I was informed by the HR representative about the results of my interview, which I felt should have been given by the interviewer since my correspondence was directed to him. He stated I have potential and should work more with my ETL to gain a broader scope of the position and the questions that were asked.
