It can be great if retail is for you
Target has an excellent compensation package that rivals other retail companies.
Difficult to have a decent work-life balance. You work different shifts throughout the week, every other weekend. Fifty hours is a mandatory work week, and there is no overtime.
Target leadership is very demanding and expects their managers to perform at all times. If you cannot perform to Target's standards, don't waste your time, nor theirs.
If you feel that you have the ability to be an excellent manager, drive profitability, help those around you excel, and work a retail schedule, then Target could be the company for you. If you are able to do the previously mentioned, you could have an excellent career with Target.
