Pros

Good pay. Daily new and challenging leadership experiences. Self-directed growth. Fine-tuned summer internship program. Support from upper management. Great about relocating to other stores, even if it's in another state.

Full-time ETL:

  • 3 weeks paid vacation + 9 paid holidays (can be used on days that aren't holidays and can be combined with vacation days)
  • Yearly salary bump (performance factors help determine how much of a raise)

$53,000 starting / 45-48 hours per week / 2 days off per week

Cons

Can sometimes be repetitive with certain tasks based on lack of team member support. Can be extremely fast-paced. Sometimes there's a feeling of an expectation to stay longer than you should.

Advice to Management

Keep up the internship program. It is an amazing thing for those looking to lead others, develop their management skills, develop talent, have daily new and fun experiences, and the ability to see future growth possibilities.

I would make sure that the stigma of staying longer than thought should be worked on. Promote better work/life balance, other than fun discounts on exercise stuff, by promoting more time with the family. Vacation time is great to compensate for some of this, but something on a daily basis could help too.
