Pros: It used to be a fun place.

Cons: Do more with less. The bar is reset higher every year.

Pros: Company culture, job security, opportunities to transfer to other departments/fields, and good work-life balance.

Cons: Pay is low for what you do, unless you are a "merchant" or above manager.

Pros: There are some really good managers and senior managers who care about their people. There is plenty of opportunity to expand your technical knowledge without having to switch positions, mostly through peer learning. There are some good business processes in place, and where there aren't, management often allows engineers and analysts to improve the process. As I said in the title, if you find your niche, you can work on some really cool processes and technology and probably be one of the few people in your group who really understand the process. The corporate office, while crowded, has a city feel with some really nice amenities (cafeteria, coffee shop, gym).

Cons: It's a big company, and there is the typical red tape. Work/life balance varies; there are periods when it is great, average, then there are times when it is terrible. There are some glimpses of ITIL, but upper management is constantly in reaction mode, which more or less seems to be a way for them to establish their pecking order amongst other leaders in the company.
