Process
The first round of the process was a phone screening with simple, basic questions.
The second round was a bit strange. The person who interviewed me at TikTok China wasn't from HR nor the Quality department itself, but from another cross-functional team. When it was my turn to ask questions, I asked about the work routine, and obviously, the interviewer didn't know how to answer. I was left with the impression that they had picked up a random person at the last minute to conduct the interview.
There was also a bit of a struggle with communication, as some questions were hard to understand due to the language barrier.

Pros: Apart from receiving useless boxes every month... None!
Cons: This company needs to be reported to the Department of Business, and an independent review has to be taken in order to ensure employee safety.
TikTok is the most toxic, chaotic, and bullying/harassment-promoting environment in Ireland. People are being harassed and suffering threats from management. Unacceptable!

Toxic and bullying work culture

Pros: Apart from the basic benefits, not much.
Cons: Evil as it gets, management created a toxic and bullying environment. The core values are used as a joke.
Forced RTO, zero collaboration, people making projects only for their performance reviews, getting a bonus for it and canceling it. Pure projects culture, the core job doesn’t matter.
Management is bullying employees and creating unbearable working environments. Everyone is complaining on each other constantly. This company is all about self.
The micromanagement makes you feel like you're back in school. Status tool, tests, screen recorders, and much more to surprise.
Product teams don't care about feedback. A perfectly fine platform was replaced with a bad one “for privacy”.
Everything is controlled here. Mental breakdowns, tough times, and no one cares as long as the job gets done.
They only care about wasting time in company parties and alcohol like they are teenagers. It's fine to have fun, but some people are grownups with families and they prefer to take their families to a nice meal rather than going to a party.
You can imagine how bad the management makes you feel on a daily basis.
